Lighting options for island not centered with 42’ hood

I am in the middle of a kitchen renovation. because of a support wall that jets out, I have an island that must runt parrallel to the range wall. the rannge and and 42” hood is center of the wall but the island is off center. you walk inot the kitchen and see the range wall. I’m trying to figure out what to do with lighting - if I put them over the island, they will look odd because of the range hood being centered. and suggestions?

Without an image it's difficult. You could just installed recessed downlights over the island

Unfortunately, the only way to get an island to fit in this layout of a kitchen is to have it off centered. But I love the idea of just doing recessed lights that’ll be perfect. I can’t thank you enough.!

4" recessed leds can give your island task and ambient lighting. Install on dimmers.

With a beautiful kitchen, less is more, you won't miss your pendents. Recessed is the way to go.

What layout? Again context is key.
