I'm anticipating you'll also have limited lvp choices. Get samples of the two doors together with the lvp colors and look at them in the space. Hopefully that'll help. Maple can yellow with uv and time. I'd go with almond.

I personally would go for the Maple Rye, regardless of the yellow cast.

The other is much too dark and the floor choice then may be too dark.

I like a contrast in cabinets and floor. Light cabinets, dark floor or dark cabinets and very light floor... it's not likely you'll choose a very light floor like White Birch.

same with countertop. Have you chosen one yet?

Thank you for your reponse. I was waiting on countertop until I choose this but leaning toward a whitish quartz and gold hardware. I want a warm, light, airy, organic feel in the space. I just wish I had more options as I want to get away from white cabs. The only painted cab I'd consider is Harbor, but it leans a little gray, which I'm also trying to stay away from. This may have to be my concession, though. The house is in a coastal area.

if its a pretty open kitchen Id pick the maple almond and look for a slate look lvp which can hold multiple tones...... and w a light counter I think it wont be as gray as you may be worrying about. problem is you are looking at the two side by side....dont do that.

this is actually darker than your almond choice but w the other light surfaces I think its a classic look....to a degree your configuration will be important.....if there are too many wall cabinets you may have to think about it.

You need to see all the choices together to make the best decision--cabinets, flooring and counter tops. LVP imitates wood, and it's difficult to match a vinyl wood with real wood, so you may want to reconsider painted cabinets, or a different flooring.

Pictures online are nice, but they are no substitute for seeing with your own eyes in your own space.

Another point is that having lots of natural light can exacerbate the problem. Everything gets magnified in lighter spaces, so if the colors don't work well, it will be more evident in a lighter space than a darker one.

If you can afford the engineered wood floors then yes it will look much better with real wood cabinets. And yes to what Diana and Dan said about looking at everything all together - floor, cabinet and counter.

I'd edit your post to have this as the first sentence. This is important. Look at the actual door samples - all three of them, together in your space with flooring samples.

I find layout also makes an impact on how light and airy a room can feel. If it is a small space, the tone of the wood or painted cabinets really makes an impact on light and airy. If it is a large space with high ceilings, lots of windows, wide aisles, the room can take a darker cabinet and still achieve a light airy effect.

I would vote for engineered hardwood over vinyl. Ask the cabinet company if you can borrow a sample of each to go floor shopping. Or vice-versa - ask the floor company for samples. You need more than one piece to see how a floor will actually look, so when you’re close to a decision, buy a whole box and lay it out.

Oh yes, engineered wood is MUCH preferable to vinyl, which looks fake and plastic, and you always can see the repeats. If your builder offers that option, then take it. Or if not, get a credit and get your own flooring. But you still need to view everything all together in the room with the lighting to make the best choice.

I would go with the white. It will go with any choice flooring.

I would choose the almond over the rye but that would depend on flooring choices.

There's no reason that your cabinet supplier can't include the other stain options as options for you. You just need to be aware they exist, and insist on seeing them too. Look up the specific variant of Woodmark's line that they are using. Go from there.
