3 or 4 windows on new addition facing yard?

Does 3 windows look better than 4 windows on a north facing family room (new addition dimensions will be 16’ window wall)? Pics of the open space and drawings attached. Where you see the white painted space will be the new family room. Thanks

In the drawing the windows are square in the upper floor but in the real shot they are rectangular , are you replacing all the windows and also where they are placed . The drawing shows a complete over do of the whole upper floor and the new addition

What looks totally out of place on this elevation is the new entry door.

What is you just duplicate the other window? It has a fresher appearance IMO.

You have a huge problem with the gable roof nested in that corner. You will need a cripple roof (not shown on drawing), which interferes with the small stair window (also not shown on drawing). But at the end of that cripple that extends along the entire 2nd floor addition, water will accumulate against the house (because the addition is not shown extending past the existing 1st floor bumpout).
