It won't throw as much light as the ones you have now, and may look like a glowing ball, but they are attractive. I would suggest a cone shape.

For lighting the kitchen we mainly use the pot lights when cooking, cleaning. The pendants are on most in the evening when I just want a little bit of ambient lighting, mainly decorative. What I really want to know is will these pendants be more beautiful in my kitchen then the ones I currently have ;)

Yes, they are more attractive than the ones you have.

It is personal taste for sure - they seem heavy and high contrast against the white cabs/hood in the back but i like airy and low contrast so just a me thing

one of my favs is the BTC original fixtures from the UK made with bone china - low key with lovely glow

Have you considered not doing another globe pendant? There are so many different designs. Perhaps look into something like you see here in a design of ours.

I think your current pendants are perfect your kitchen design. What about something similar but with opaque glass? Something like this? It ties in the black and gold of the faucet as well.

Pretty kitchen! I agree with you that clear glass globes show all the dust and allow too much glare. (Been there.)

I like the cone shape, and I like how the black + brass reflects the look of the faucet. Here are some mockups in case it helps.

I think the first one you posted looks too farmhouse.

The island is 10'4" (124") and the light canopies have 31.5" space in between each

Hate to say but am not a fan of the fixture you are proposing. I do like some of the teardrop fixtures like the ones Jan Moyer has proposed above.

I really like the shapes of the ones posted by @JAN MOYER. The black one with the brass inside would complement your faucet.
