Nice brick. A usual recommendation on this site for red brick is light sage green. Trim in a shade or two darker sage. Maybe someone else will chime in about painting the roof rat tails, I think they’re called.

I would not put shutters on that house. The top window doesn't have space for anything but ridiculously skinny shutters. Ditto the bottom windows.

I'd paint the siding a warm olive and the trim cream. I like this shade of olive, but I'd use a much warmer cream for the trim. Paint the beam ends near the roof a dark color.

I like Beverly's rendering. You could also consider changing the doors if the budget allows. Remove the existing landscaping and put in new plants, clean walkways and add a few accessories to the porch. It'll look like a totally different place.

Yes, @mmc429, those are roofing rat tails as noted way upthread. My point was that, since they are white they give the appearance of string lights.
