Hi all! I’m working on the layout for our new open-concept living room and would love some advice.

I’m leaning toward the Pottery Barn York sofa — either the 96” or 108” deep seat — and trying to decide which size would feel cozy without being crowded. The sofa will sit across from the fireplace, and I’m planning on adding two accent chairs on either side of the fireplace for balance.

I’ll definitely be measuring everything out with painter’s tape before committing, but I’d love to hear from anyone with a similar setup. Do you find that a longer sofa plus chairs makes the space feel welcoming, or does it get too tight?

I’m also planning to use a sofa table behind the sofa for function and style, but I don’t necessarily want end tables.
