Ideas for how to reconfigure this bathroom?

Hi all - We are renovating our bathroom and would ideally like a bigger shower (currently in the lower right corner) but we don't want to move around too much plumbing. Do we keep the bathtub? Make a two-in-one - or will that depreciate the house value? Is it weird to put a shower right by the entryway door? It's a decent amount a space - there is currently a jaccuzzi tub with a step-up into it. We are also not married to keeping a bidet in there. Grateful for any suggestions.

I see a few problems with making changes easily. If the shower gets moved to the tub placement, the window prevents making it much wider than it already is. How much would you gain? Eliminating the bidet really just gives you more space for a longer vanity. Moving toilets are expensive, you don't say what kind of foundation this room is on. What is B/I? Built-ins?

I'd move the toilet to the tub, remove the bidet and make the shower fill the entire end of room.

Change the swing on the door.

No weirder than having the tub right next to the entrance. Add ALL dimensions and you will get better advice.

B/I is built ins, thanks! I’ll do more measurements

Shower on the right short wall with bathtub where it is. Then the toilets and sink in the middle. With only a 7ft wide room you need nothing opposite the toilet or the sink to allow for walking room.

Do you really have a 7'4" long bathtub?

Get a better shower: ) No need to move the toilet/ replace with washlet. Keep a nice sleek alcove tub, have a linen. have towel bars or hooks

TAKE pictures existing and post an exacting drawing. This is close: )

Horrible clearances evidenced in your pictures

    .

You will stuck with a lousy shower unless you relocate the shower.

You can not have shower in front of the toilet in 7'4", mot even if toilet is rotated.

The only water fixture that will work there is vanity.

You can put a shower where I left the alcove TUB ...make a vanity where I have shower. Cut back the entire built in wall to 18" depth of storage. Hence.......NO tub: )

You want both tub and shower? You do as below, UNLESS you can move the toilet to left of the entry door, and may not be worth the expense.

If you can live without the bidet and the window nearest it I will suggest that you remove both and make that entire end of the bathroom a large shower.

Where is the toilet going : ) ? What about the window?!

    No tub..............gain toilet privacy

Come back with your EXACT feet and inches for everything.,

If you need no tub, are getting older, staying awhile? This is your best use of the space., below.....and perhaps the more costly due to toilet

Wow! So there was a lot of money in that bathroom when it was built - trying to cram too much in the space without much regard for how it would work. Assuming you have two adults getting ready for work, that original layout would be terrible.

I don't ever want an audience when I'm on the toilet - and I'd like to avoid feeling like I'm in a crowded subway when my other half wants to get past me.

Not that I have a vote in this - but @JAN MOYER, the "move toilet, get rid of tub" version checks all of my boxes - except I'd probably still change the swing of the door to make it flow better.
