This is what I've been working on

last month

I've already cut all the pieces for three quilt tops that I will be working on this winter in Palm Desert. I have a fourth left over from last winter. That should keep me busy in the evenings. Now I'm working on this beautiful quilt from All People Quilt called Trail Mix. I decided to reduce the size down from 84"x102" to 72"x90." I need to make this one at home where my stash is available to get all the color combinations I want. These are the first of 30 triple four-patch blocks needed. The quilt has four other block types too. The quilt will contain 130, 6" blocks when finished. I loved this pattern.

I'm also waiting for a package of wool batting so I can quilt my step-daughter's quilt. The backing has been loaded on my longarm for a week. I think I've finally decided on the panto pattern and thread color. I've never done so much thinking about a quilt as on this one, probably because I'm trying to please her rather than please myself, as I usually do. I know she'll be happy with whatever I do, but I want her to really, really love this one.
