I agree that something looks wonky with the bricks. Please show us a photo taken farther back from the fireplace. If it is wood-burning, you will need a non-flammable hearth.

Not sure if you’re seeking suggestions on mantel decor, but not sure why a vase is covering a picture frame? While I like

the black candles, I would recommend a third and remove the skull. It just seems inappropriate for the space. Perhaps on the

other end where the vase an frame are, a nice sized candle. You have a beautiful home.
