Our blah-beige two-story foyer wasn't doing anything for me, so I transformed the walls, doors, and window grilles with paint and a new chair rail. Going this bold was a bit scary, but just take a look outside--green is everywhere in nature and goes with any color! Still to add are the shadow boxes below chair rail, and then I'm planning to paint the balusters white with a dark brown rail. Paint used: BM Aura in Sycamore Tree (walls), Linen White (wainscot) and Wenge (door and window trim).
