Vanity Revamp x 2

Requesting design help on Bathroom Vanity Mirrors/Lights please! Electrician coming in a few days. I want a warm, cozy feel. Paint is BM Sea Salt.

What are your thoughts between:

  1. Two mirrors with Lights above
  2. Two mirrors with sconces (and would there be one or two sconces between them)
  3. Two LED mirrors - I like these mirrors but don’t know if they are bright enough - or if they are too “cold” looking.

There are two bathrooms. The larger master bath and the small narrow guest bath.

Thank you very much!

Here are photos. I couldn’t figure out how to upload them in the post. The first two are the master bath and the last two are the guest bath.

There isn't just one way and it would have been better to have a plan before this stage!

Picking you mirror size will help with where to position the lights.

Utilize your ceiling heights and don't get mirrors that are too short/squat for the space.

My plan for my master bathroom with all positions and measurements figured out months before!

For your next bathroom remodel ... your sink cabinets could have been narrower giving you more inches towards your drawers.

Thank you chispa. Your measurements are very helpful as we have 11’ ceilings.

Chispa, I like your sconces too. Do they put out a decent amount of light?

Do you have overhead lighting too? In my girls bath we have two sconces overhead the mirror and also lights in the bathroom in the ceiling. In the master we have two sconces but they are in the mirror as it’s a custom mirror with cutouts and also have lights in ceiling. Personal I prefer ours and find the light coming from the side of the mirror easier to work with but that could be bulb based or personal preference.

Yes, the sconces put out a decent amount of light, but I also have recessed lights near the vanity. I can do my make up with just the sconces. For hair styling I have the sconces and recessed lights on. Dimmers on all light switches.

I prefer bath bars to sconces but they ned to be LED 4000K to do the job I love my lighted mirrors for added lighting

Is your electrician moving the outlets that are there if you decide you want sconces? Seems a shame to do that after the painting’s been done.. i like a lot of mirror at the vanity, so would be looking at options for larger mirrors but that’s just a me thing

my sister got a beautiful custom framed mirror for her double vanity from a local glass shop, it was cheaper then the one from Rejuvenation she was looking at and sized perfectly for her space

Patricia Colwell Consulting, do you put the bath bars on the sides or above lighted mirrors?
