Floor plan please 😊

Just sketch a picture. We have no idea what we are looking at. Helpful to know the size and layout of your kitchen and other rooms around it.

I like option 2 with closing off the opening to the living room. I don't see a use for this opening, but a second island could help serving the dining room.

Yvonne, Just want to clarify. Option 1 was to close the opening to have a full wall separating that counter space from the living room. Option 2 was not to have a wall, so that is an island open to the living room. Agree that both options help serve the dining room.

IMO a to scale floor plan is a must the pictures provide no context . The plans not really helpful either Use graph paper thenshow every window , doorway where those lead and every mearurement clearly marked Post it here in jpeg format in a comment.

As either plan they really have to make sense for function. I never like a kitchen open to the LR unless how you entertain works with that set up, for instance I am chef entertain a lot and everyone always is in the kitchen I still do not want it open to the LR..
