request for advice with finishing and staining a wooden table

I picked up this table from a neighbor which was left outside for quite some time. I am trying to sand it and stain it for outside use. This is my first project ever and I have started sanding with 80 grit. Please see attached photos of before and after.
- Is the sanded part ready for sanding with 120 grit ?
- Do I need to clean with cleaning solution containing bleach to remove the black longitudinal marks or will the sanding with 120 grit take care of them ?
Any other advice welcome. I am planning to use Australian timber oil. First project, so please humor me.
