I have this rug in my living room.

So much prettier in person, love the blue in it. you are working with the same colors that I am in my room. I tried to post an image, but it didn't post.

IMO with all the colorful art I would look for a rug with a bit more color and fewer odd pillows on the sofa but in colors from the art and yes lower all the art' even some color in the kitchen .Maybbe something like this with just enogh color to work with

I would say a more subtle rug because of your artwork - less competition for the eye. Will you be getting a larger rug? Current on seems skimpy.

You might look at a rug with some blue in it to tie everything together in the space, although you don't have to get a rug with blue, you could do a textured rug instead. Below are a few different designs of ours with rugs that could work in your space:

Given your present rug, thought you might like the one below (couldn’t attach link but company is mentioned below). Comes in a lot of sizes and is wool. A darker color will handle wear and tear better, warm up the room, and tie things together nicely
