Making room on my countertops

last month

Does anyone know of a tray with wheels or some kind of gliders to place under a countertop appliance?

I have a Breville smart oven and would like to keep it stored on my countertops and pushed back against the backsplash when I am not using it. When I used it I want to pull it up towards the front of the counter. A ton of steam (or heat or something) comes out of it when in use and I'd like to pull it forward so not as much of it hits my upper cabinets.

It is W 21.4" x D17.3" It is hefty and I have a bad back so I cannot push and pull it out myself.

Thanks

I use this one for my coffee make and KitchenAid mixer.

You will have still move it off of that before using I think

No, it is in two parts, one stays put, the other slides in and out.

Thank you. I clicked your link and saw another, bigger tray on wheels that looks like it might work. Sliding kitchen appliances with wheels LINK

Neither of the sliding shelves recommended above is large enough for a 22" x 18" appliance.

    • You could try attaching these Aieve Appliance Sliders to the oven's feet so you could easily slide the oven back and forth on the countertop.
    • You could have someone cut a 22 x 18 or larger piece of wood for you and attach these Aieve casters to the underside so you could slide the oven back and forth on the countertop.

When copying an Amazon (or most any URL), just copy the text to the left of the "?".

Both of those products in the links are noted as "frequently returned items," so I wouldn't put much faith in either of them.

There are smaller "Magic Sliders". I have them under the feet of my KitchenAid mixer so that it "glides in and out of a corner" on my granite.

Thank you @Diana Bier Interiors, LLC! I hardly ever purchase from Amazon and am so overwhelmed when I look at product pages, I never noticed that they rate how frequently an item is returned. Thanks for pointing that out.

Read the reviews too. I order from Amazon a lot and if it is not right return it , who knows why it is returned without more info. I go planters from there once with the frequently returned I love them so who knows

I put felt pads (the round kind you use for chair legs) on each corner of my Breville Smart oven, so it easily slides forward on the quartzite counters when we need to use it.

I have a coffee maker that doesn't slide. I put a nice dish cloth under it. Not sure how big your oven is - if a hand towel would work or if you need something heat resistant.

Chispa's felt pad solution works well on my Breville, as well. I used tiny little felt dots on the front feet because there isn't much surface area for attachment there.

My countertop is walnut and it isn't very slick. That combined with my bad back and the weight of the oven, I think I need something with more glide than felt, though that surly would be the easiest. I don't know which is larger my collection of random felt pads or random mismatched backs to command strips!

If the felt has too much friction, try some hard furniture glides with double stick tape.

Our coffeemaker, along with the coffee canister and a cache pot holding filters, sit on a shallow baking pan eith Magic Sliders underneath (four on the corners and one for support in the middle).

The felt pads slide on hardwood floors that aren't slick, so it should work on a walnut counter.
