Baby quilt finished

This is for a coworker of my husband. They are having their first baby (a girl) at 40. The pattern is four patch fun - free from Quiltville. All hand guided quilting using rulers in the border and a stencil in the blocks.

Donna, when you do three kinds of quilting, do you have to load and reload the quilt. Not sure how you would do this.

Donna, what an adorable little quilt. Your quilting is very impressive. I don’t remember if you have a longarm or if you did that on a DSM. Either way, it’s great.

Rho, there are 2 four patches sewn end to end, then a strip of color/neutral added to each side. It’s very easy cutting and piecing.

Lois, I have a Grace 15” mid arm on a frame.

Theresa, I did almost all the quilting in one load, then turned it 90 degrees and reloaded to finish the borders and the sashing. On my last quilt I did the side borders as I went, but it’s a lot of starting and stopping. I prefer to do borders all at once so the flow doesn’t get interrupted.
