Everyone knows that LG and Samsung make horrible appliances outside their washer and dryers. There's usually no service, and they brak. A lot.

They are awful appliances. All of them. Only bargain hunters are conned into buying them, because they put them ”on sale” at such a ridiculous discount. They have the highest margins in the industry, so they can afford to keep them on ”30% off” sales. Sales that never go away.

@wd Thank you for your comments and suggestion. That would be the ideal way of loading, However, loading pots and dishes together is a pia… Ill try powder vs he little pods.

• LG suggests loading pots and pans with dishes in the lower rack as shown AND folding down the tines to accommodate them as necessary.
• LG also suggests that you can put pots and pans in the upper rack after adjusting that rack downward to accommodate them. Tines can be folded down there too.
• Using powder can make a big difference as the pre-wash will also use some detergent rather than just "cleaning" with clear water.
• (Minardi just bashes LG appliances. CR tested several LG dishwashers -- not your model -- and they performed well.)

EVERYONE who has actually owned one, HATES them. Not just because they wash poorly. Mostly because they drop dead at 13 months, just after the warranty runs out.

Gee, I must be the odd ball then. 5+ years of LG dw. Never have things come out dirty, easy to load, love the 3rd rack. Minimally rinse prior to loading. Wash pots by hand as they are not DW washable.

Kids bought them also and love theirs. All of ours clean so much better than we had previously.
