Help Select Sheer Curtain Fabric

Hi Everyone,
We are going to be installing sheer ripple fold curtains on a ceiling track on our main floor. We like the linen look. Can you help us decide between two fabrics? We want some light filtering but want to keep the home as light as possible - we do not want the curtains to make the home darker. For privacy we have roller shades.
One fabric is more sheer with a less dense cross hatch pattern. Fabric 2 is still very sheer but slightly tighter weave and more uniform cross hatch.
Please let me know what you think!

These are the two fabrics and a side by side! The colour of each is the same - a soft white

Both are lovely fabrics. If you have cats or dogs, choose the sturdier one and/or the one that can be machine washed.

    No pets :)

    Any preference which fabric?

    No preference, both are fine.

IMO you should be placing them next to the wall paint to see how the fabric works with the walls. Your walls on my monitor seem slightly warm

Not sure how you're mounting the track with that complicated soffit detail. If you mount the rods where I have the red line positioned it appears the drape will conflict with the tall cabinet doors and not be the same height in the room.

Beverly, both fabrics are the same colour and are the same white as our walls - a soft white. The colour difference in photos is probably due to lighting when I took the photo.

Yes, different ceiling heights in kitchen vs family room. Nothing we could do about that during our reno. The bulk hides vents. We will be using a white ceiling track - minimal hardware visible.

@BeverlyFLADeziner, I see what you mean about the hardware being in the way of the top left cabinets. We rarely really access that area - but ya, would have been a good idea to think about window coverings when designing the kitchen!

Are you planning to keep the curtains closed because it looks like there isn’t much stacking room on either side of the sliders.

If we talk only about the choice of fabric, then I am in favor of an option with less texture, more subdued.

Regarding mounting, I think it's best to consider options that mount directly to the frame, without extending beyond its boundaries. Do the same with the other windows to avoid any discrepancies.

Sometimes stacked back, sometimes not...that's why we are going with a very sheer fabric.

How about these two fabrics compared - one has more consistent cross hatch weave, and the other is more uniform simple weave with more open larger threads that appear. Both are a very close colour match to my walls.

For privacy you have roller shades. You don't need another treatment. During daylight hours, when interior lights are not on, no one can see into your windows. It is a simple principle of physics. No need to spend money needlessly. Buy some rugs to warm up the LVT flooring and consider repainting the walls.

B.M. Alexandria Beige. I have it I love it

I want decorative ceiling track ripple fold sheers. The current window treatment looks unfinished.
