Still waiting on Boatwork

Lois,
just wanted to let you know we are still waiting on solar additions and canvas work. The boat is back in the water, but on the dock at the yard 😔. We are going on 4 weeks over expected completion and it has been frustrating, but not unexpected. I hope you have a fantastic cruise, but sadly, we will not be able to make it to Bequia during your visit.
Being at apartment has fostered some new projects though.
Tried the Atomic Starburst by Violet Craft, a fairly simple paper piecing pattern, and tried my hand at some bookmarks(Notches Sewing You Tube channel) and a boxed zipper pouch(Jan Howell you tube channel). All 3 were fun projects

Waiting for things to be repaired can be frustrating but I think you found some lovely diversions.

Those are all really pretty, Char! Good luck with the boat work. I understand the frustration of ”island time”. We have our own version here in rural north Florida. 😎

Hi, Char we ’re anchored off Mayreau in SVG this morning. Going to spend tomorrow in Bequia with my sis and her partner. He is a native of Bequia, so he has arranged an island tour for us. Of course, we will have lunch at their restaurant. I’m sorry we won’t be able to meet, but I hope you can get to The Porthole someday and say hi to Linda and Gladwyn.

I am sorry we cannot meet in person as well. We are thinking of trying to get up to Bequia for a week or two prior to hurricane season, but if the current rate of project completion continues, we may not be going even that far.

Enjoy Mayreau and Bequia!
