You should add photos that show the colors that you've listed in your post. You shouldn't assume that people will know those colors or be willing to take the time to search for them. The easier you make it for people to provide help, the more help you will receive.

Also, you should remove your shutters - they don't work for your windows + your home will look better without them.

Some trends do not fit every house style. What might look good in a new built modern minimalist house, doesn't always work when applied to an average suburban house.

Painting a house much darker than its roof looks odd.

If you want to quickly try out the black wall idea, buy a box of black trash bags and apply them to all the front walls with painter's tape.

Black is not the right color for your house as chispa said. In general, I find black houses to be forbidding and unwelcoming. What is driving DH's preference? In order to arrive at a compromise, I would look at medium grays. I agree with apple_pie_order that it's not wise to go much darker than the roof color, although some contrast isn't bad. Get a large board to paint with sample colors so you can move it around to all sides of the house and see how it looks under different lighting conditions. Grays usually have a blue, green or pink undertone which may not be apparent in all types of light.

If you have wood siding exterior, you should NEVER use paint on the wood. Use a stain instead.

Frankly, stain the wood siding is far more interesting.
