Classic open-grown tuliptree at Druid Hill Park in Baltimore, Maryland. Open grown ones have characteristic branches that arch downward, then suddenly turn back upward. My slender one is 70 ft tall after 20 yrs grown from a $2 bare-root stick from Directgardens mail order.
