fwiw we have a leather sofa with heavy white denim slipcovered chairs and I think it works (and really I like it so that’s all that matters :) - I’d focus on a nice rug that pulls them together - we used a pale blue wool rug from Pottery barn for some color but a natural rug works too

a patterned ottoman w/ a tray for the ’coffee table” can also help bring the pieces together - my favs are from annie selke (we have Pali)

I also think a few chunky cream throw pillows for the sofa with tons of texture (mohair, sheepskin, chunky cable etc) help add texture to the slick leather and break up the brown

i also like the room and board Serena table lamps in cream/white - they are chunky enough to stand up to the scale of the leather sofa but the color keeps them feeling light

also don’t forget art to help the look you want

If you are on a southern coast, upholstered pieces in greens, orange - ish tropical patterns will work. Northern coastal area think greens of Maine or Oregon

Lala girl okay im loving these ideas! the patterned ottoman could be so fun. And slipcovered chairs are a great idea bc i have young kids. i am ten minutes from the beach in NC so i want it to be classic coastal!

I love my white denim slip covers - my large lab likes to curl up in the chairs and they always wash up so nicely - I don't dry them, just spin in washer after the wash cycle till they are only damp and then put them on that way - they'll dry fast

^^^^I agree with la_la Girl - it's a really nice sofa + a good color. I have a sofa with a denim slip cover - and it still looks new even though it's almost five years old.

Think about using a wood waterfall table (on hidden casters so it's easy to move) to use with your ottoman - it provides a better base for using it as a coffee table while still allowing the comfort of having an ottoman to rest your feet on while watching a movie.

There are many sellers on Etsy who make these in various styles + species of wood + custom sizes. They aren't very difficult to make if you know someone who is a little bit handy.
