You have lots of different colors in your stone. Pick a color from the stone, and make sure it will go with your roof, which looks to be very light tan.

The current siding color has a yellow cast, but the stone has a pinkish tone. If the stone has to stay, pick a color that blends with it. I suggest a bone color.

I’m not sure about shutters. Get your siding painted and see what you think. Your stone is busy and shutters may be an unnecessary complication. For sure don’t buy those shutters that look like repurposed wood pallets! (Like the sample below, available from Walmart. Enough said.)

I think a warm cream, like SW Creamy or Patience would look great. I wouldn't put shutters on, the style of your house isn't meant to have shutters. I would paint the trim a light brown/khaki like Studio Taupe or Sandy Ridge.

In your AI version, the gray doesn't go with the stone and the shutters on the window under the right gable looks funny. The current yellow is pretty awful, IMO, so almost anything is going to be an improvement, but that doesn't mean the gray is the best you can do, it's just better than the current dreadful yellow.

The yellow is actually just the new siding, unpainted and waiting for me to pick a color! It was a tan/taupe before we replaced it…it was old and needed to be torn off, I just wanted something different than what was already there but I guess that’s really the only color scheme that will work :(
It’s an older house, trying to do what we can with our small budget to make it look updated.

With the color of your roof, you really dont have a lot of options. What you choose has to look great with the stone, and with the roof. When you are picking out colors, if you have a piece of left over roofing, put it next to the stone, so you can make the right choice.

One one image GF looks a bit Mauve..not good. I'm thinking a rosy blush terracotta that feels fresh.

I would look at Adobe Dust and Pumpkin Patch, Milk and Honey, Baker's Dozen, Deerborn Tan, Tuscany, Sweet 'n Sour.

With my screen it's very difficult to tell what colors these are, my screen makes everything look pink. A nice soft Terracotta is hard to pin down.

Valspar -Lowes- Maple Tan

Behr -Home Depot- Naibrobi Dusk.

Looking at my previous samples on a different screen, they don't fit my vision of Terra Cotta which is a red clay. These have a nice blush undertone and what I had in mind. The first ones are Valspar.

In your pictures, the stone is in shade and appears as more of a cool tone when photographed.

Try to match or complement paint color to at least one of the actual stones.

I also have no idea what color your roof is in real life so that is a consideration.

I would love to see some progress photos if you can.
