house is missing a front door

So our home is sideways on our lot so the door to enter is on the side of the house, not the front. The left side of the front on the house has the kitchen. I was thinking of replacing the 2 adjoining windows on the right side with a front door. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions to make it look like a nice front facade with a new door. Here’s a photo of the side of the house facing the street and also what is on the inside of the facade.

That's because it is on the side. Make a path to lead your guests into the house.

    Yes.

Lucky you that it opens into an unobstructed location. Add a deck at your interior floor level.

You're not going to be able to put a portico on it because of the roofline. The door is likely to hit your kitchen cabinets. I think you'd be better off with some nice landscaping and a path to the current door. I'd put a lovely flowering tree in your yard, not too far or too close to your house in between the two windows. Then, I'd have taller shrubs as foundation plantings. That, with a path to your door from the road would be a better way to improve the curb appeal.

A path and an arbor will direct attention to your door, where it is. You can put the arch anywhere along the path --- at the road, middle, or near the house.

Side entry front doors are common where I live ( due to narrow lot size ). You’ e been given a few good suggestions but more pictures from different angles would be helpful.

Here’s a mock up for you.

You would need to put up a wall, as shown in above mock-up, or people will really be walking smack dab into your kitchen. Except, I do not think you have room to feasibly place a wall there; the mockup is not to scale. No room for a wall, in real life. Even if you could put up a wall there, your kitchen would be really closed in and constricted with a wall in that spot.

There is nothing wrong with a side entry. A side entry is not a problem. Just create a path to the door, as was suggested. Work on the landscaping (softscaping and hardscaping) and lighting on house and grounds- have lights to light a path to the door, etc.

You need a wide, clearly visibly path from the street to your front door. And also from your driveway to the front door.

You seem to be having work done. Are you planning to remodel your kitchen? I presume the support post has to stay. Is the area with the double window a dining area? Do you have another dining room in the house?

Wow, thank you so very much for your thoughtful posting and suggestions. I really loved how you made it look so beautiful and inviting. I will likely leave the side door where it is since there have been so many good suggestions!!

Here is my concept for more curb appeal. A straight concrete walk seems appropriate to the age and style of the house. Have the concrete tinted terracotta. Natural flagstone for the stepping stones.

This version has the trellis and numbers.

Add an awning to show the location of the door. There are types of awnings that will fit into a narrow space above the door which you may need.

I don't know your style but this is another option using the same concepts,
