Add more pictures all angles.

Your first mission is a rug.......

From that you can decide your bedding, and MUCH better window treatments.!

We ordered new linen drapes - neutral color, similar to the chairs. Will start with a rug

Is a rug necessary? If not, then focus on window coverings that provide the light and privacy you prefer over the course of day and night. I like neutral window treatment because they are pricey. If adding art you love select colors from that palette to choose bedding and any upholstered furniture if you have a chair, bench, etc. I like a full length mirror in my bedrooms, usually wall mounted and placed where Inwont shock myself if my reflection is the first thing I see in the morning 😳. Neutral rugs can be added at a later date if you change your mind. A runner on each side of the bed is easier to vacuum and your bed will not look like it needs to be “anchored” once it is dressed.

The drapes are skimpy and need to be hemmed so they don't touch the floor.

I think a rug is necessary.

The curtain rod needs to be raised so the drapes don't brush the floor and can hang straight.

We live in earthquake country and wanted nothing heavy, so hung a Navajo rug over the bed and it turned out great. Something like a tapestry or macrame would also be nice and soft over your headboard.

Move the nightstands and bed a bit more to the right.

It doesn't all have to be centered on that wall and will give the chairs a bit more breathing room ... and the person who sleeps on that side will also have a few more inches to squeeze by.

I often like just nice mats on the floor on either side of the bed since any rug is really money wasted since most of it is under the bed. I used sheepskins on eithe side of our bed in the MCM bedroom in our last house now they are in the guest room. I agree the drapes are skimpy and honestly a whole wall of nice full drapes would be a nice look with some tie backs if you want to open them or just slide them to the sides for opening . I like simple bedding with not a ton of useless pillows so the idea of one long lumbar one makes sense . I do however usually start with the bedding to drive the rest of the choices

Here’s an idea for decor above the chairs.

Do you sit in the chairs? Do you need the chairs? Do you watch any TV from bed? Do you need storage?

Frankly, unless you need them ? I'd take them out, : ) even to another room? Yes to something long and shallow on that wall. What? Depends TV, no tv, a long shallow console with art above or something else?

A simple way to achieve a minimal, clean, worldly look in the bedroom is to keep the bedding and curtains neutral and understated, and let a large statement artwork above the bed become the main focal point. Instead of adding many decorative pillows or layered styling, one oversized abstract or textured piece can bring in that subtle global feel and tie the whole room together, especially when paired with a simple rug and a single accent like a kilim lumbar pillow.
