The paid version of Sketchup gives you access to the 3D Warehouse that has many items to download. There are also ways to apply any texture you want. I've taken a photo of an existing wall and used that as a texture  on a surface. There's also a pretty good Sketchup community to find solutions.

These programs, all of them, are best when you understand many of the other more basic aspects of design.

Scale, proportion, ,,,,,,factual aspects such as clearances in a bath for code, comfort . .....same in a kitchen.

In any remodel, your best friends are an architect, paired with contractor, PRO kitchen/bath designer and an interior designer,, A team with add one, that's you. A team with the same vision, and a route to a ost pleasing result.

Appreciate the feedback on the importance of design fundamentals. We have an architect and engineer for the home addition. We have completed multiple interior remodels including gutting and rebuilding our kitchen and have been happy with our results. We worked with the designer at our cabinet supplier on layout and design for three projects.
