Would a matching nightstand fit if you moved the bed over?

Looks like you could move bed over some, correct?

If your bed is centered on the rug right now it looks like there would be room for a matching nightstand.

Beds don't have to be centered on walls or rooms.

Looks like you have room to move the bed and nightstand over to the right. Then you have room for another nightstand on the left and a bit more separation between bed and dresser.

Balanced space is better than perfect symmetry.

im toying around with the idea of a small green nightstand to sort of camouflage itself with the wall????

The matching nightstand fits but it would be so close to dresser it feels like a lot of wood to me. maybe add a plant in the corner to soften the space???

If it were me, I’d do a pair if round black metal tables with some chonky lamps

Put the bed under the window? It would be centered on that wall, and probably under the fan.

Otherwise, leave the bed as is and use the bureau as another night stand.

Try moving bed over a bit, or can the dresser go on the wall at end of the bed, or on the opposite wall?

If you don’t want to move the bed then I’d suggest buying two smaller matching nightstands if budget allows. Sell the old one.

Have you tried moving the nightstand to the other side to see how it feels? If you don't want to move the bed over, can you move the dresser down a bit?

You can use a different nightstand instead of matching the existing one exactly. I would suggest a round shape so it feels lighter and does not take up too much space in that corner.

To keep the room cohesive, choose one in a similar wood tone and finish to the existing dresser and nightstand. That way, it will feel coordinated without making the room look too heavy or overly matched.

Use something round and cover with a table cloth.

Can the dresser go on the wall adjacent to the foot of the bed? Moving it (if possible) would provide you with a tv stand if you ever wanted a tv in the bedroom.

IMO a match would be first choice , for sure not something covered in a cloth in what appears to be MCM funiture . I would be also looking for a headboard too. If you post a pic of the whole room we might have a better idea.

I don't see a problem with a similar-wood nightstand near the wood dresser. I would just want a taller one, at least as high as the top of the mattress.
