Uffda! Finn had his "Boy surgery "....

last month

Yikes!
Finn had "the surgery" on Thursday in Casselton ND. He's 1.5yrs old now & 85lbs. He's recovering fine, but not exactly a Cone-fan!!
He likes the cold marble floor in the entry. Stair use is to be kept limited, so we got this "Lovely" metal hinged gate.

Aw, Finn. He won't need that cone for too long and waiting until he is a bit older was a good decision-lets his bones, joints, and ligaments develop! Of course, you know that, don't you?! What a beauty he is.

Finn is such a beautiful boy - hope he has an uneventful recovery .... and tolerates his cone!

Finn deserves some special treats! Maybe some tasty snacks and a new dog toy. Tell him we send our love and hugs.

Much better night going into Sunday here! He's being a good boy & leaving his "rear area" alone, so we've let him be cone-less today. Someone's always with him in our entry however.

Awwww......poor guy. Glad he got the cone off and is feeling better. Are you getting the heat wave up there? Week of mid-90s in MN. 90s aren't unusual in July in MN but a solid week of that is rare. Fortunately humidity is relatively low.

    3katz-

96 now in Fargo @ 4pm CST, Dewpoint pretty high @ 70. The "Relative Humidity" as a % is basically a meaningless metric. A Meteorologist explained that very well on TV here years ago. Dewpoint is the true level of moisture in the air.

    I know you're not in Bloomington, but I see they're @ 90deg & 70deg dp. Now in Forsyth MT, it's a RIDICULOUS 114F!!!! WAY lower dp @ 37deg though.

Awww Finn . Ours did not the ”cone of shame” at all . They were not as husky as Finn so the suiticals worked great. Speedy recovery handsome guy.

Poor Finn. Hope he feels better soon. Just happy to see great pet owners like you taking such good care of their furry family members.

    Irish-

Our previous dog Callie (Samoyed), & now Finn (Rough Collie) would've overheated in one of those I think! 😁😇🥰

Separately......He didn't have his cone on until bedtime yesterday! Same today....no need for cone!! We're kinda surprised.

He's tossing a rawhide stick around the entry now, the big Goofball!!!

Faron-same we had a golden retriever and lab at same time and they would not have been good with getting them on them etc plus I really didn’t know about them at that time.

Glad Finn is doing well 🐾
