Apron sink materials are not any differnent for pros and cons to other styles of sinks. Fireclay sinks tend to have more decoration available for the front of the apron, and cone in single and double bowl styles. They also have color options and once they warm up, tend to hold heat well. That's the pros. The cons are that they can chip and tend to be very unforgiving if you drop a glass in them, it will most likely break. Apron sinks made of metal come in a wide variety too. Stainless is usually the most cost effective, its forgiving if you drop a glass, it hold the heat well, but not as well as fireclay. It can scratch and if its not made of a heavy gauge metal they can sound tinny. There are copper and bronze sinks too, the bronze is usually copper with a bronze patina. They tend to be the most pricey, and come in a wide variety of finishes (both color and texture) copper has a natural antibacterial property that others do not. The patina will change over time. Apron sinks styles can work well with either contemporary or traditional decor, depending on the sink you choose. Homeclick.com is a great place to look at the sinks and narrow your choices, once you've landed on one google that specific sink to find the best price. Most websites offer free shipping and no sales tax, farm sinks are usually shipped on a pallet via a freight carrier, not UPS etc. So you will need to be there for delivery. Good luck.

I am looking to purchase a copper sink and was wondering if it has a smell (like pennies do). I know it sounds crazy but I cannot stand what my hands smell like after I've held on to a couple of pennies for a while so I was wondering if it smells of that copper smell once it gets wet. Thanks to anyone who answers.
