Are they truly closed? Wood-mode Cabinets closed down a few years after I did my kitchen in 2018, but they were able to re-structure and re-open a few months later with many of the same employees.

I would not hold my breath and maybe have a long talk with the GC since a warped cabinet does not unwarp later he should have dealt with that at the time

Thank you Patricia. You mean "does not unwarp" right? Cause that's what myGC seemed to imply and now I kick myself for not paying attention to my inner voice "warning warning warning"

Thank you Ann. DH and I are going to push this back to the GC, I'd think another cabinet company would offer something identical or similar--these are just micro shaker cabs-- but knock on wood. Yea my GC's putting it off was not good. Although, I have to say, I would hate to be in his shoes with a supplier that closed down while projects are under way.

Yes, you need to show that it's truly warped. Racked cabinet install can also make a door "appear" warped. Had a client a few years ago who had a general contractor. I was the cabinet supplier. She notified me of a warped door. She lived less than 1/2 mile away from me, so I popped over and had a look. The door was NOT warped. But you could tell her cabinets were "racked".

Second, you must make sure your home has proper humidity levels.

Also don't beat up your GC too much....most cabinet manufacturers have a policy if a door is just slightly warped (less than 1/4")....that you need to wait one full heating and cooling season to pass before getting a replacement.

Thank you Kitchen Place. I am learning a lot from this experience. We are working with our GC and his supplier on the warped door... or should I say "doors" plural since they identified two more doors that were not quite right. As of now they are trying to "unwarp" the three doors via clamps and other boards for gentle pressure. I can't help but wonder can doors really be unwarped? I guess I will get to see if these particular ones can. At any rate I'm appreciative of their efforts and will keep my fingers crossed.

Our kitchen cabinet company closed abruptly and the order had been delivered missing one of a pair of doors for a large pantry. My husband found a local carpenter who was able to match the door style and built us the door that we needed

Years ago I made some screen doors which proceeded to warp, immediatly. One of the caprpenters in the class (where I had made the doors) suggested laying them flat with weight on top on a cement floor, like in my garage. There was enough moister comeing through the cement to help.

They came back to life and were flat. Now this might only work for a short time? Or maybe a routed area for a steel rod to keep it permenant. Good luck,
