Yes, add console table with a drawer and a mirror. A mirror seems appropriate in an entry.

A tiny entry so a much smaller console in fact I would do only a shelf and a very small stool if you must . No wallpaper but a nice piece of art or a mirror since it is the main entry for you if it is a must. You can get some pretty cool fold away coat hangers for guests too.. Since a redo of the other spaces in planned I will say IMO an entry shouldl be the introduction to the rest of the living space so keep that in mind

Can certainly see your dilema with the odd angles and the open plan. If you were to have a cabinet there perhaps you could use the crane chinoiserie wallpaper on the back interior surface of that.

Yes, add a console with mirror. Add stools underneath if you need a place to sit to slip on shoes.

You don't have good starting/stopping points for wallpaper.

I don't think a contemporary style home with vaulted ceilings is the right place to use a crane chinoiserie wallpaper. Having the pattern run off at the ceiling line at an angle looks terrible.

Thank you everyone. You all have the same basic answer... don't wallpaper, accessorize. Makes perfect sense and helps me make decisions elsewhere. My house is safe and boring (I designed lol). Needs some personality!

And I have removed the cabinet. It was an attempt to focus on beige/ brown to offset the Grey floors with Grey (revere pewter) walls. I had to replace my floors and am not happy ewith my choice but too expensive to change again now. Just have to try and work around them.

Paint your walls a creamy white to offset the grey flooring.

i saw this idea on IG (Nestingwithgrace) A huge piece of wallpaper was placed at the entrance like a mural and they made a frame for it like it was a huge piece of art. The console was placed in front of it and a small mirror was placed on the console. I cataloged it in my memory because it looked so cool.

@terrib962 That is rude. First of all, revere pewter was the go to color 8 years ago and my designer chose it. It was great for the style of my house at that time and as I said, I would like to update to current trends. 2nd of all, not everyone can afford to rip out floors. I said I made a mistake on the floor choice so no need to berate me. 3rd of all, I CHOOSE that floor type (which is vinyl plank by the way) for my lifestyle which is animal rescue and foster. Expensive floors would be ripped up in days! So mind your manners and think twice next time! You are the reason I generally don't interact on the internet.

I really like @Emily’s rendering with the creamy white walls, chinoiserie fabric, mirror and black console. A touch of black always looks great imo.

Update the light fixture over the front door to complement the new entry look. Please post after photos!

Looking at paint colors. This area will simplify to one different console table. The picture will replace any plan for wallpaper as per your suggestions!

@la_la Girl Thank you for the scale comment! It may be big but I think once all of the other items are removed, it will fit better. Do you think I should paint that wall blue? Or the "beige" of the main walls?

I'd keep it beige - at least at first :)
