I would move the console to the right rather than trying to center it.

The ceiling fan on the lower portion looks a bit dated, wondering if the lighting is the best for such a tall room?

You prints get a little lost on that large wall. Consider doing a slatted wood treatment behind the console and extend it to the ceiling. It helps “lose” the opening on second floor and makes the openings and furnishings cohesive.

I like Maureens idea and for sure no wood slat wall to bring even more attention to the wonky wall and I garee the ceiling fan is not ideal. for lighting

I agree with moving the console over to the right to help fill up that space and I would also raise the display of six prints up a bit higher so the objects on the console are not right in front of them.

In other words treat the railing above as something that naturally divides the space up. Notice how the left edge of that large painting lines up with the right edge of the open space above. You can use that architectural feature as a guideline. Then fill in the space under the railing with something tall, which could be a tree in a vase as is suggested, but could also be a floor lamp? Or you may need nothing once you move the console over and take a look.

One other option would be to paint that section of wall to achieve a little more connectivity and flow with the surrounding elements…

The six frames are good pieces; the wall is just two stories tall, so they read as one small patch. Swap them for one 24x36 landscape centered over the credenza, and move the six to a hallway where you'll see them up close.

Full disclosure, I'm a nature artist, and I'm testing one sentence about what I do: "For the person standing in front of a big, empty wall they see every day: send me one photo of it, and I'll tell you the one nature print and size that belongs there, so the room is finished without redesigning it." What's the first thing that comes to mind when you read it?

You can fill the empty space with a plant.

In general you have too many accessories in your home. There is stuff covering every inch. Your space needs some breathing room. Start editing.

You need better lighting to illuminate the art on the walls.

It requires a strip light to highlight the art.
