It's hard to tell the scale of the patterns on the wallpapers you posted, so I'm reluctant to choose one over the other.

I like the dining table very much - but it might be hard to maintain that finish if you use it everyday.

Icy blue or green colors would work well with the theme you are trying to create.

The first one has more of a metallic sheen to it I think? Looks good to me. And I'm thinking white sheers, floor to ceiling, wall to wall.
How many people would you like to seat at the table and what are the dimensions of your room?

I'm thinking one wall in the shiny wallpaper with a sideboard against it, mirror above and on the opposite wall a large piece of art that will be reflected in the mirror. Other walls a warm white, soft peach or beige colour.

Thanks guys! The long wall on the right is opposite to the kitchen entrance (revolving door) so I would have two half walls opposite the long wall... and the end wall (windows) would be where I would put a buffet. Would you mirror the long wall or put some art on there? here are some pics of the wallpaper so you can appreciate the scale of the pattern. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR ALL YOUR INPUT. I'm steering towards doing a blue green maybe dark teal accent color per your rec's.

I like the first pattern better. It seems a little larger scale and more interesting. I like the idea of adding contrast to your sparkly icy room. I think someone said it will make it sparkle more. That is true. Either a table with some dark wood but fine lines would suit the elegant glam look - almost a 1940's look. And I do love a lilac/purpley accent with silvers, greys and metallics.
