We are remodeling kitchen and baths. Contractor is encouraging us to paint over old wallpaper. While I don't have an issue with this in kitchen where space is large and open, I'm concerned about the guest bath. The wallpaper is high quality and hasn't curled peeled etc in 25years, so is it safe to assume sealing, priming, texturing and painting won't affect or create a mildew problem?
