You could also try reversing what you have done by grouping the taller pieces more toward the middle and putting the pumpkins on the outside - maybe the medium and the little guy on one side and the big pumpkin on the other one. Don't remove the mini-pumpkins from the vases just yet - they might still be OK. A,though, I do like the idea of branches in them :)

Actually, you may need to remove one of the taller vases - I don't think two of them can be side by side - they'll just fight lol.

Need a piece of art for the wall above mantle. And then take away the short red and orange candles. Set the small pumpkins on to the candle holders instead. I would move the tall vases slightly more to the middle, just play around with the placement. Try adding tall feathers or dried grasses to the vases. Add some dried moss to the entire mantle to soften the area.

We have a curly willow tree, and I use the branches on the mantel (and other locations in the house) for Halloween. They'd be a nice visual in your vases. Sometimes I just lay them directly on the mantel with pumpkins arranged among them. I love how the branches reach out and curl all over the place...very Halloween-ish.

You have a very narrow mantel. You could beef it up. I'm assuming pumpkins are for Halloween? Never put things all across mantels. Just 3 items on one end. Like one silver candles holder.and 2. Pumpkins . No orange candles use white. Add big art or sunburst mirror to wall. Hang 6" from top, of mantel. Use your other items on dining table.

When grouping items, it means putting all items in odd numbers in a circle group. You can add fall colored leaves to fill bottom space. Ck Michaels..
