Cabin Remodel - help with exterior colors

We are going to be remodeling our cabin and need ideas for the exterior. The porch on the front will be removed and rebuilt, adding a peaked roof, also putting in new windows (Marvin Integrity), removing the door on the right and new shingles. The siding we want to use is an LP Smartside with a Tamarack Green finish, which is sort of a dark green.

Am thinking of dark grey shingles (this isn't carved in stone), but am not sure about other trim colors, such as the window and door color. Builder suggested the Certainteed Landmark shingles in the weathered wood - I feel the lighter color isn't right. The window trim comes white, grey, cream, green, bronze (dark brown), evergreen and black.

Builder has suggested the bronze window trim and mocha/brown trim for the soffit and fascia. I am thinking it's too dark and would like some contrast maybe. Or maybe a contrast with a trim? The cabin faces east.

I feel the colors the builder has suggested will make it look too drab. I have seen some darker red color with the dark green I liked.

Any ideas would be appreciated!!!
