Consider extending the entire lounge space instead of just moving the door to the red line since you are not gaining much with that option.

Hello Elvis! You have a very nice space to work with. And your yellow space idea is good. I think, though, that there definitely are better ways to orgainize things here. While it is difficult to design spaces effectively without you and your hopess/ideas right at hand - here are some preliminary thoughts to consider:

(I'm assuming that this is new construction, and that the zone marked veranda will have full foundation and roof structure.)

Put a breakfast area in your yellow space. Eliminate the peninisula that separates your kitchen from your living space. Use an island instead.

Organize your working kitchen entirely in this L-and-island area, building your wet-bar where your sink is now shown - eliminating the angled ends shown now left and right of current sink location.

Entry door at upper right should not swing out over stairs - dangerous. Swing it in - to stand against a storage pantry cabinet at left end of your new bar area.

Add window above new sink location near the entry door.

What appliance types are you hoping to include? ...free-standing range? Cook-top with wall oven? etc.
