Hello. Yes, these trusses are the structure for the roof system above. We custom designed them to align with several important programmatic considerations. The slope matches that of the existing roof (on other portions of the project); the hinge point occurs directly above the wall where we divide rooms/spaces in the project; and the bottom chord in the lower zone (as seen in this image) is exactly level to create the more intimately scaled space. This is contrasted to the high side where the bottom chord slopes upward, drawing your eye to the views beyond. We had these trusses fabricated by Timberweld, but there are other manufacturers of hybrid wood and steel trusses. Thank you for your question and interest in the project.
