Thanks for the great feedback. The paint on this job was a custom color that we worked with a local paint store to develop. It's turquoise if that helps.

I am also curious about the fireplace. Did you remove it, build over it. We have four redundant fireplaces, I would love to figure out how to use those walls

We did end up removing the fireplace in this room, as well as another in the house. The main reason we did this was because of budget considerations. Both fireplaces were originally installed improperly and would be a huge expense to get working properly. The client ultimately decided that they would prefer to have one wood-burning fireplace in the living room and use the other spaces for storage.

I'm not normally in agreement with removing the fireplace, but when the surround looked like bad plastic & it wasn't installed correctly...rip it out!

It looked like they were originally going for some kind of greek/marble-esque theme. Then painted the walls a flat white. Yawn....
