Our kitchen is all cramped up in a tiny corner of a large room. We already have a dining areas in the living room and in the screen porch so I would like to open up the kitchen.
The entry way from the living room makes it feel closed in. The upper cabinets are in the way and dust builds on that ledge very quickly. Also the cabinets have so many layers of paint that they are sticky an peeling but they are fairly solid.
The breakfast bar has to go along with the tile counter tops.I'd also like French doors to replace the elderly sliders and we'll be putting light wood laminate over the white tile.
We are doing the work our selves on a budget so I want to see what layout ideas I can get. The sink and dishwasher have to stay but I could maybe add upper and lower cabinets to the back wall and take out the uppers in the galley. Then put a new fridge they too. What about the stove? It's electric so it can be moved. Thanks for any ideas!
