Agreed, the sofa would be too tight for the size of room mentioned.

That is a huge sofa for the size of your room, but not knowing your livingroom layout as far as doorways, windows etc it is hard to give advice if it could work or not. If you really love it then see if you can take the sofa out on approval and try it in your space.

The general answer is that it is too large. However, I would have to see a photo of the room, # of doorways, etc.

Also, will you soon tire of the red? If so, will you have the funds, time, interest to buy another or re-upholster if and when you tire of the color?

If not, consider a more neutral color and accessorize with red.

I would try to find a similar sofa in a smaller size. Scale is so important, you don't want to feel too cramped in a living room.
