I agree, you need more seating to make it more inviting. Small, portable but comfortable chairs, benches or stools. Something organic looking to go with the atmosphere. Maybe a few low level potted plants (Try a group of succulents in interesting pots) to soften the edges of the hard angled corners. You want a tiered look that doesn't take much room since your space is small.

The tall urns could be utilized better. One can become a table (add glass top) for the left side of the bench. The red one with the bamboo poles don't do much for the space, so I would remove the poles and put something more interesting or colorful in it such as silk birds of paradise or hold a real orchid plant in it. Balance it with rocks/sand on the bottom to keep from falling over. The potted plant on the glass table can be put at the foot of the table so you can use the tabletop. Try some ferns, orchids, succulents that have a variety of shape, size, color for more interesting texture. Long flowering plants such as begonias, impatient, and variegated leafed plants will give you more interest with low maintenance.

You could also add some color/dimension by adding a textile hanging on the wall behind the bench & trellis. A lightweight fabric with a subtle or colorful print of your taste. Buy some 1/2" dowels (36+" long) and staple the fabric end to it, then hang on the wall with a screw at each end into the wall. FYI: Screws are easier to remove than nails.

I would get two small stools that you could put in front, to use as a coffee table when paired together, but which could be sat upon when needed. Also, a cushion on the bench--it sort of says, "I am for momentary sitting only". Finally, consider clustering the plantings. Right now, they are evenly distributed throughout. I think it looks better if they are grouped--one clump here, one clump there, instead of a bit all throughout. And get some stuff to look at (plants or vases) in the other parts of the patio, like near the patio door--extend (visually) the whole space, instead of having one decorated corner surrounded by bareness.

Looking at the pics more closely, it seems you have more space than you think you do. I would put a bistro table and two chairs in front of the planter on the other side, opposite the bench.

I think you should add some brighter colours. A rug and some different pillows. These are all for outdoors from Pier I Imports. I know there's one near your house because I have the same accent table in my living room. ;)

A small ottoman to put your feet up and relax. A garden stool somewhere. Add some paper lanterns for some fun. If you can, paint the wall where the plants are. Your space is limited so I think less is more or it will look crowded and you won't have much useable room for entertaining out there. I would consider getting some large piece/s of mirror and attaching them to your wall/s so as to increase the feeling of space.
