Help! New duvet for master bedroom now what?

Bought pottery barn Charlie paisley-red duvet cover and need help with changing look of the room. I would like rug and curtain ideas along with accessories to pull it all together. Paint color is SW Blonde but am open to paint suggestions. I am considering SW Utterly Beige, Diverse beige, basket beige, macadamia, or clary sage. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I actually suggest removing the red throw. As for the frames, I would remove the bigger one next to the window. Can't see how many smaller frames are on the wall next to the bed but they would look better stacked over the night stands.

I like Clary Sage. It will bring much more depth to the room than the beige colours. All this is from Pottery Barn.

You could also choose a neutral rug with alot of texture like this jute and wool one. Also from Pottery Barn.

Larger lamp base. The current lamps are too skinny next to the bed posts. Larger trunk or bench at the foot of your bed. Bolder colours in your pictures. They are too light colored.

I'd throw in some of that blue in the duvet cover - maybe add it as a vase on the dresser, some pillows, a mat in a picture frame - not too much but as something to surprise the eye

Bigger and taller lamps. Suitcase table/bench at foot of bed. The bench at foot is way too small.

Might I suggest that you measure from the top of your bottom mattress to the floor and find a dust ruffle that drops down longer. Dust ruffles generally come in two lengths. If you need help finding one let me know and I will help in your search. Have fun Aurie!
