Toilet Closet

I am in the midst of a remodel and looking for a less expensive option for cabinetry over the toilet in the water closet. The closet size is 6 feet by 3 feet and I would like to put something over the toilet to store toilet paper, etc. Selecting a simple cabinet that matches the cabinetry in the Master bath is cost prohibitive. I am looking for some imaginative idea for storage! Ideas?

I found an inexpensive old DVD shelving unit --painted it crisp white. It fits nicely in my toilet room !

Your space is large enough that you could find a 12" x 12" x 36" tall cabinet and place it in the corner of the toilet closet. This could be an attractive piece of furniture painted a cheerful color. Then no one will ever hit there head on a cabinet over the toilet.......

We use a Thai tea basket that holds three rolls in a highly decorative, unexpected work of art. The lid is slightly ajar with only a square of tissue visible.

I purchased a cabinet for over my toilet but it is the wrong size -- I was able to obtain an architectural discount -- if you are interested the cost plus shipping might be around $300-$325 -- new in box - painted cream -- all plywood box from Wellborn

I also have a Home Depot Medicine chest with a glass front -- they can be purchased for about $100 -- I found mine at Habitat for Humanity for $10 new, not in box -- you need at least four inches for toilet paper but we are using a medicine cabinet in another bathroom that is less than four inches -- the rolls are squished but become round again. I might try the basket --
