Looking for a very specific piece of furniture from a photo

I found this great piece on the internet, a friends friend, so to speak, but there is no chance to try and find out who designed it or where to find it (or similar objects), because they lost contact completely and the guy whose piece this is has no facebook or other easy accessible possibilities of contact. so, i am on a journey, skimming through the internet and doing some research. please help!!!
