Did you go with the double hung or casements? How was the cost compared to other windows. I know the pros but any cons? thanks.

The majority of the windows we went with casement. The rest we went with double hung the areas of our home where there is not so much use
We priced Marvin and jeldwen and found Marvin to be priced better and they are supposed to be the best

We also spent the few extra dollars and had them factory painted definetly worth it

On window with blinds. A few years ago, Samsung was making refrigerators with Televisions. When the TV failed the question is, do you replace the refrigerator or repair it or just leave it. The blinds are mechanical, and could potentially fail.

pella shown us some window pics at a fair, and i loved them. We talked, and "in between glass blinds" was brought up. I like the concept, for our blinds become dusty/dirty. Are "in between blinds" a good idea ? What are the pitfalls, if any ?

I have used in between glass blinds for some time and it is a great idea. They work perfectly and also don't obstruct the view. No cleaning needed ever.
