I have a small 1 1/2 story house that has a wall between the kitchen and living room. The wall is open to the kitchen and open to the hallway so we believe it's a load bearing wall. We need to know how to determine whether it is for sure a load bearing wall and if so, whether we can modify it somehow to make the rooms open to each other. If this is somehow possible, how do you determine how far you can push the opening or where to cut the wall, etc.
