I currently have marble in one bathroom and the master BR floor. I am a messy cook and I can't imagine having any marble in the kitchen. I keep the marble I do have sealed with the best sealer and I still have problems even if I clean instantly. The old cat used to barf in the bedroom and that stained the marble. The bathroom floors stain if you look at them funny. It is not for me. Though I do love the look.

I found some tiles that looked like marble at my Tile Shop down the road. I was thinking of doing that in the new house but I am undecided. I like your renderings though. Maybe it can work for you in which case I think it will be really stunning.

Just have a marble board for making pastry. Look into Corian. Mum got it in the 80s in marble look, and its still going strong, good as new.

My hubby chops like a sushi chef ( fast ) and breaks dinner sets.
