Your couches are lovely. You can use some of the green from the printed chair as an accent color for more lively pillows on the couches. Do you have a lamp for the corner table. Some art work over the couch with the blues and greens would be nice. You can go soft and abstract or more bold and dramatic with your room. An area rug would help add some more texture to the room.

Love the upholstery color! Definitely add an area rug. If you want a mid-century look, you could go with a classic Noguchi boomerang style coffee table and add some retro lamps and maybe a classic 50s starburst wall clock. Take look at http://squidoo.com/retro-50s-mid-century-period-interior-design-and-home-decorating for photos of mid-century rooms and furnishings. And a palette of mid-century colors you can incorporate on an accent wall and in your accessories.

If you don't mind a much warmer color a nice olive color will look much better with the dark wood and really compliment the upholstery. You need a very large piece of art over the sofa in your taste and coordinating colors. Excuse the Christmas, but this is the color combination but the furniture and walls are reversed.

Nice job. Might bring in a bit more of the floating unit color. Great upholstery and love the IKAT on the chair. If you love color you can go as far as you dare.

I think you might like this Noguchi style MCM table with a white base. This is $447. I think it would look very nice.

How about adding in some orange throw pillows and a large bold-colored piece of artwork? I think your white walls will be fine if you add enough color elsewhere. If your budget allows, I would get a very simple mid-century coffee table. Nice job on your sofas!

Is this "too much" for you? I think the orange/coral/turquoise is a pretty combination.

Floating shelves over the sofa with photos and art, a real mcm or Danish modern lamp, and a chocolate shag rug would be awesome. (I would've installed the rug, but it's late to be moving furniture, so you'll just have to imagine it.)

I have one word--gold! I large starburst gold mirror above the couch would look fantastic. Add gold tone table or floor lamp. Gold silk window panels will also tie everything together. An area rug, high pile cream color or natural jute will soften the space. I like your white walls and the TV console. I would paint the interior of the front door the same white as the walls. The style of the door doesn't go with the room, so painting it will painting it out will make it "go away". You have a great space to work with!

I love what you have started in this room! And I have to agree with grover that brown plays nicely with all of it.

If it were up to me I would update the coffee table and end tables with warm wood finished pieces to add a warmth and contrast to the living room. Here are a few examples from Bryght that I think would work well.

I agree about the tables. The one you have now matches, certainly, but I think some warmth is needed and a nice wood table could do that. Wouldn't go too dark like espresso but the suggestions above are a great color. I'd pull some navy in too. Turquoise/aqua and navy with cream accents is gorgeous!

Very traditional sofas. If you want mid century. Which isn't what sofas are you can. It's big now, and you see in all stores. Do you want to stay in traditional look, or go more modern? Chair leans towards modern, in fabric. You need to step up with bolder end tables, coffee table
And pillows. Get a area rug 8x10 place In Front of sofas. A round coffee table in a black metal. Would bring some interest in. Can we see rest of room. Not sure about chair placement . Bring in accessories and art. Turquoise, and silver mix with black. Would work. Ck homedecorator.com for coffee tables, and other art. Their new catalog shows some nice pieces that would work in your room. Remember to keep same color tone (blue/green) though out.

Love unit for TV. But mix it up in rest of room. No small items on unit. Always go big, tall and color. Chairs have a Spanish look to them as well as door. I would head that way. Big art over sofa in a big ornate type dark wood frame. Chairs should come together side by side facing other sofa on big wall. It seems unfinished now because you need a area rug. Maybe a ombré style in the blue greens peacock color. Big tall lamps by sofa corner.
