How did you handle the horiz butt joints on the siding panels? Thx

Typically B&B siding has prominent horiz. joint when using sheet goods for the "board" portion of board and batten siding. I don't see it here.

    We used a "z" flashing strip between horizontal sheets and painted them to match the panels and battens. One of the reasons we used the Certainteed fiber cement panels is that they had longer panels available (up to 4'x10') which eliminated the need for some horizontal joints.

    The paint on the fiber cement board and battens is Benjamin Moore's "Sage Mountain". The lap siding is Benjamin Moore's "Winterwood".
